Story
Dear International friends,
My beautiful hometown and country, Mexico, was hit on the 19th September 2017 by a 7.1 magnitude, devastating earthquake. Mexicans have shown their solidarity and are helping as best as they can: volunteering in the brigades, bringing supplies where needed, offering shelter in their houses, etc. We have shown adamant sense of community, but we cannot do it alone. We need your help. As a mexican who has lived abroad for 5 years and who has been welcomed with opened arms in foreign territory, I know I can count on you.
Those who know me, are certain that I will be using the money to buy exclusively what is needed and to bring it personally to those in need, both in places affected in Puebla and Mexico City. I will post photos of the goods bought, as well as the receipts to ensure all the money has been used.
Even a small donation of £5 can help greatly due to currency exchange rate. As an example, £5 can get us in the pharmacy: 4 boxes of ibuprofen + 2 cotton bags + 2 bandages + 2 bottles of peroxide (to clean wounds).
Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart and from all my fellow Mexicans who cannot thank you in person, but whom will always remember how you helped them overcome such tragedy.
