Story

In July 2019, I am going to Nepal and taking place in many activities that require both physical and emotional strength. This includes rebuilding schools, painting/refurbishing classrooms, digging and installing fresh and clean water supplies, and teaching Nepalese children English. We will also visit Chitwan National Park, where we can experience a safari like never before, and also bath baby elephants. Whilst I am in Kathmandu with the group, we will also learn about the Nepalese culture, and how it differs from ours here, and how different the standard of living is to ours.

My aim is to know what it really is like to experience this face to face. And to know that I can and will have made a difference. I want to know that hundreds of children will be drinking clean and safe water from the time and effort that I have put in. I want to know that hundreds of children are being educated in a safe place, some for the first time in their lives, some even at the age of 15, 16, or 17.

When I go to Nepal, I will be a year into my A levels, at the age of 17. I will be going with fellow classmates and teachers who have also signed up to make a change, through the organisation of Global Action.

Your money will go towards the cost of getting to Nepal, the several charities involved, including the World Wildlife Fund (WWF); getting supplies for our building projects, the kit I will need to take part, and also the cost of staying in Nepal.

The trip will last for 16 days, and will be in strenuous working conditions of around 35°C every day.
I cannot wait to go and make a difference in the world!

Any donations you make do not have to be much, as everything helps, and I am extremely grateful of anything, whether its £1, £10, or even £100 if you're feeling extra generous!

I am looking to raise £2995, as this is the main cost of the trip. If any money is raised after this amount, I will put it towards my kit, and the rest will go to WWF.

Thank you!!
