This has been quite an epic journey and this is a third page I have had to open as they expire after three months!!! Yes I am running a half marathon in three weeks and the process has been to say the least ‘painful’. I have been doing quite well until I went on a holiday to Bosnia where I proceeded to live on diet of meat and cakes in temperatures in region of 36 degrees and where any thought of running was met with a shut down of my nervous system. I did manage two runs with a post run catatonia. I would like to say that on return I took up running like a pro, but reality is that I hit a post holidays blues for around three weeks where frankly I just felt sad for myself. This was followed by another week of debauchery in Dorset and I finally started hitting the tarmac two weeks ago. It’s going OK but I am nervous. At times I think I can do it, at times I can’t and at other times I am managing to convince myself that it’s OK even if I walk it. I am going to do it either way. I am in too deep now and if you can find any spare cash to sponsor me it would be most appreciated. In addition to my torture Luka and I are still to do our munroes and have few miles left of our 100 mile cycle. It would make our day if we saw some fruits of our labours.
