Hi, I’m Ali—CEO, Director, and Co-founder of Led by the Wild CIC… but more importantly, a mud-loving, trail-chasing, nature-obsessed runner on a mission!

Led by the Wild has been a massive labour of love for me, my family and our wonderful team of supporters and friends. Since 2018, we’ve poured our hearts into creating opportunities for children, young people, and marginalised communities to connect with nature—not just by experiencing the wild, but by actively protecting and restoring it. Through hands-on conservation projects, environmental education, and community engagement, we empower people of all ages to care for and re-store the natural the world around them.

Everything I do as Director for Led by the Wild is 100% voluntary, because I believe wild spaces matter—for people, for wildlife, and for the future of our planet. But to keep this work going, we need your help!

That’s why, over the month of February, I’m running 100 miles (160km) to raise vital funds for our work. That’s a LOT of miles, a LOT of mud, and probably a few moments questioning my life choices… but every step is worth it to ensure more children and communities can get their hands dirty, learn new skills, and make a real impact in conservation.
