I've raised £500 to raise funds for our Grade 1 listed and very special St Lawrence church - completed thanks with cash donations - £600!!

We are walking 104 miles over 7 days starting 5th August, from the source of the River Thames to Henley in aid of our church.
We want to help raise funds to help restore the church and to enhance church activities and charitable outreach. St Lawrence parish church, West Wycombe is set high on the beautiful West Wycombe Hill. The church is mediaeval in origin dating from the 14th century and was later remodelled in the 18th Century, thus combining ancient origins and features with stunning Georgian design and decoration. The historic tower, topped by the iconic Golden Ball, has fantastic views over the local area, and the church hasexcellent accoustics for services and the many concerts throughout the year. The church is much loved by many generations, with a regular congregation of all ages, and thousands of visitors every year who return to visit family graves, to relive fond memories or simply to enjoy the beautiful setting. Many weddings and baptisms are held there and there are several memorials to those villagers and family members lost in war. The tower houses a belfry with eight bells which ring out across the Hill and village.
Due to the age of the building and materials used over the years, we now need to restore parts of the church building and make it safe. Once this essential work is complete, we can look to create new facilities, especially a dedicated room for our children and young people.
