I've raised £10000 to Purchase a 4x4 vehicle to access more remote areas to provide girls with sanitary hygiene kits to help them stay in school.

Liberty Project was founded to provide a solution for girls & women living in period poverty in Liberia. We delivered 200 sanitary hygiene kits to menstruating school girls in March 2017 and want to continue to support more girls across the country. To achieve this we are in need of transport, there is no public transport system in the country and accessing rural areas is almost impossible without the use of a 4x4 vehicle.
We have partnered with a local charity, sister4sister, who provide women affected with aids and orphans with a home, give them a loving environment, provide their basic needs and ensure they get an education or learn skills to help them provide for themselves. Within this area we are going to teach some of the women how to make the sanitary pads for selling on the local market. This will in turn provide employment and help other women with an affordable and eco friendly way of managing their monthly period.
We also need funds to purchase sewing machines and materials to sustain the project in it's early stages.
