Story

Help Save Bonnie & Clyde - Dumped. Neglected. Starved. Terrified. Covered in Fleas. Full or Worms. Ear infections. Minor and healed cuts. Exhausted!

This is how we found Bonnie and Clyde who were dumped by their owner in Cyprus late November / early December.

The Sovereign Base Area (SBA) policy is that unless a person takes responsibility for any animals found they are taken to the SBA and if they are not claimed or re-homed in a set timeline, they are PUT DOWN. They would be inundated if not.

A group of us spent days trying to capture them and were able to get to temporary safety on the 10th December. They were both in a very sorry state and were absolutely terrified. Bonnie just shook for the first two weeks and kept hiding under the hedge. They were absolutely exhausted they slept most of the first week eating and sleeping after a quick visit to the vet to address their immediate issues.

Bonnie and Clyde are still NOT SAFE as they are only in temporary foster with us. If I cannot find a place for them, I will be forced to hand them over to the SBA as I cannot keep them. We have all the fur babies we can handle.

Every rescue we have contacted directly or via contacts are FULL and holding a huge number of dogs all available for adoption now with more being dumped DAILY in Cyprus.

The ONLY lifeline I have for Bonnie & Clyde is through the wonderful Argos Animal Sanctuary who have said 'providing we can raise the funds to get them medically ready to travel (spay, neuter, passports) and fund raise for their crates and flights, they will get them to their partner rescue centre in the East Midlands'.

This genuine plea for help is to assist me in funding the purchase of a crate each and a flight each for Bonnie & Clyde. They need to get safely to a rescue centre who can take them in and care for them properly. We are personally covering all of their medical requirements so please help me with their transport to safety.

We have given our time/love/food etc to work wonders with both dogs over the last 5 weeks. They are both thriving, they are loving, they have gained weight, love to play, enjoy their walks on a lead…they are going from strength to strength daily. PLEASE do not let the lack of a small financial contribution from you be the end of Bonnie and Clyde. They really do have so much to offer.

The odds of re-homing them in Cyprus is virtually impossible. The volume of dogs currently being cared for here, in the many great rescue centres and foster parents across the Island, is absolutely astounding.

Please...If you can donate even a small amount to raise the funds needed to get them to the UK rescue it will make a mountain of difference to them. On arrival in the UK they will be ready for immediate re-homing. They will have completed all the passport, neutering, spaying etc requirements all sponsored by us.

The vet who checked them has confirmed they believe Clyde is 4 years old and Bonnie is 2 years.

If you prefer to donate directly please messenger me.

If you can give them a home or know a friend that might please also get in touch.

Thank you so much for reading my plea for help save Bonnie & Clyde.
