I've raised £800 to Help Fundraising for my trip to Uganda in July 2019 (Project Africa)

I'm organising a Magic Night with mind reading, a raffle and lots of fun !
This will help to raise funds for Project Africa 2019, where over 100 scouts and explorers scouts will be travelling to Uganda, for 3 weeks, to help local communities.
I will be part of this trip and have to raise nearly £3,000. Half of the money will be used to buy materials and pay local builders to assist with the renovation and building of schools and teachers accommodation. The rest will pay for travel, food and accommodation.
Project Africa is a long-term international community development programme. Berkshire Scouts are supporting schools, teachers and local communities to help secure a good education and a good start in life, for local children from poor rural communities in Africa. Project Africa 2019 will see Berkshire Scouts travel to Uganda to continue with the successful Project Africa international community development programme.
Young people and leaders from across Berkshire will continue to make a real difference to local and rural communities in Uganda as well as developing their own personal and Scouting skills.
Further details of Project Africa 2019 and past expeditions (Project Africa 2011 and Project Africa 2015) can be found at: https://www.berkshirescouts.org.uk/international/uganda-2019/
I am currently 14 and will be 15 when I travel to Africa with Berkshire Scouts.
I am really looking forward to the opportunity to experience another culture whilst being able to help those who are less fortunate. I am looking forward to working as part of a team to make a real difference to a small rural community in Uganda.
I love art and I made several drawings and paintings which I have used to create greeting cards, the elephant below being on of them.
