What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

We feel passionately about the increasing problem of homelessness and feel compelled to take action in a small but meaningful way. A Little Something (A Community Interest Company) is an attempt to support the homeless and vulnerable members of our community by trading and using that income to finance outreach projects amongst the most vulnerable people in our community. Such as supporting other local projects, providing provisions, organising sport related activities to raise self esteem and generally giving support and guidance.

A Little Something is our trading arm and the name of our mobile food catering business and Big Ideas is the name of our outreach strand.

From a Little Something comes Big Ideas...

Update part 2 - Unfortunately we are still in need of funds to help us get up and running fully - in particular we are still having issues with our electrics - which majorly impacts our ability to trade. If you are able to donate to help us, we would be extremely grateful - Thanks again to those who have x

Hi!! Great news - we are very nearly up and running :-). Just awaiting the OK from Environmental Health and permits. We aim to trade throughout the summer at weekends, either in the local area or at events. With the money we raise we will be supporting /working alongside local organisations working with the homeless and vulnerable members of our community.

Thanks to those who have donated through Just giving - especially as we are still spending a lot on various set up costs and van repairs. However, we have also been able to donate £200 to The Glebe Centre in Walsall who help and support homeless / vulnerable people in Walsall, they also run a Night Shelter through the winter months. We are still on track to trade early 2019 which will also boost our fundraising, but every donation helps get that bit closer- thanks!!
