I want to raise as much money as possible for the amazing NICU Ward at Hull's Women & Childrens Hospital to help fund new equipment. Without all of the amazing staff on this ward I wouldnt have this beautuful little boy and i really want to give something back to the ward. Little Ollie James Harrison spent 15 weeks on the unit and went through so much after been born prematurely at 26 weeks gestation, he is an absoloute little miracle and it is all thanks to NICU and all the staff for providing an absoloutley amazing service.

Going through this experience has really opened my eyes and we really want to give back!

Ollie was born at 1lb 15oz and now weighs a whopping 10lb 8oz!

He went through an awful lot whilst being on the ward and the nurses and everyone on the ward were amazing and supported us all every step of the way.

Throughout his journey they helped him overcome:

- Sepsis

- Septicemia (Klebsiella sp)

- Respiratory distress syndrome

- Chronic Lung Disease

- Patent Ductus arteriosus

- Metabolic bone disease – Osteopenia

- Retinopathy of prematurity

He also was on a ventilator to support his breathing from birth and then slowly moved onto other equipment which helped support and develop him breathing on his own. He also had bloods taken every single day and had a lumbar puncture.

I will be taking part in a charity boxing match 06/07/2019 all as part of this money raising challenge. Would love it if as many people as possible could get down to come and watch, even if you dont like me that's probable more reason to go and watch me get knocked about!
