Story
The organ of All Saints is a very special historic instrument in a very special Grade 1 listed building. It was designed by Adolph von Holst - Gustav's father - and built by the illustrious organ builders, Hill & Son.
After 125 years of service, it needs some essential work and I want to play my part in saving this magnificent instrument for future generations. At 10pm on June 16th, I will launch my Organ Marathon. With only short essential stops, I will play for 24 hours, music from across the ages, styles and genres. If you can't sleep, join me on All Saints Livestream - I will be there!
You can play your part too. Please help me rescue this magnificent organ by sponsoring me. Request your favourite piece (for a minimum of £20- depending what it is!) although I can't guarantee it will be played when you are awake! But do come and listen during the day.
Donations will go directly to help repair key parts of the organ during 2023. Thank you.

2 months agoWe've raised £5k from our different sources so we're closing this crowdfunding page down now. We have some repairs to do and they need doing urgently. However, the fundraising goes on so please keep watching - see All Saints Church Facebook page and check on Eventbrite for events at the Church - and if you are local, do call in - open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10-7pm. Or join us for services on Sundays. THANK YOU ALL for your support and encouragement. James.

2 months agoWe're still raising funds for this magnificent organ! All Saints Church is hosting 3 Choirs Festival this year and a very special organ recital will take place on Tuesday 25th at 2.30pm. Polina Sosnina - a talented young performer from the Royal College of Organists- will present a varied programme of works on our special organ. Here's a taste of what's to come. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXe8RoKADuw

I am fortunate to have played on some of the best organs across the UK, both as a Church Musician and as a recitalist. The Holst organ at All Saints is also a very fine instrument indeed. Join me in my daring endeavour to raise funds to carry out much needed repairs!
