In memory of Allan Craig, his family and friends are taking part in the Allendale Challenge on April 11th. We are raising funds for Higher Ground Allendale, a social enterprise who aim to improve mental health and well-being through gardening.

Allan was supported by Higher Ground Allendale in the past and was inspired to nurture his garden, his veg patch and the heather which he loved.

Work he did while at Higher Ground lives on for the local community to enjoy, whether it be the snowdrops he helped plant, the pond he helped rebuild or the other work he did around the grounds.

Considered by many to be one of the toughest challenge walks around, the Allendale Challenge is a 26 mile fell walk, one which Allan completed a number of times.
