    Story

Not a regular ‘poster’ on here, but I wanted to share the fact that I am running the Stirling Marathon (my first ever) in May for two charities that are close to the hearts of family and friends. I am hoping that you take the time to continue reading this post, and then if you want, follow the links to the JustGiving pages and make a donation to either, or both, of these great causes.

Although I haven’t shared any photos of my training, I started my training on January 2nd, and when the marathon comes around on 21st May I will have completed a 20 week programme, running over 500 miles in total. I’ll never forget how tough the 20 mile plus runs have been.

The first charity I am running for is MS Society Scotland. My Aunt Florence was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2014, and we have witnessed how this has impacted her life in many ways throughout the past 3 years. As a family we are proud of the strength she has shown throughout her fight with MS.

I signed up to complete the marathon with Gregory, but he had to pull out due to injury. We had agreed to run for Sara Thackray Charitable Trust, and as this charity is close to the hearts of Gregory and Nicky Campbell family, I would still like to support this charity. The Sara Thackray Charitable Trust has been set up to help support the families of children who suffer from Leukemia.

The charity makes the lives of children and families a little easier by giving some financial support for essential medications, treatments or some well deserved treats to bring a little sunshine into their lives.

Thanks for reading, I hope you agree with me that both these charities need our support and would benefit greatly from your donations and raised awareness. So if you have some spare cash and would like to donate, please click the link below.

All donations are gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
