We are hoping to raise £20,000 to help our wonderful son Simon start his life. Simon is 23 years old and suffers with extremely bad Anxiety and OCD, Simon is more or less housebound due to the extent to which his condition affects him, Simon has been this way for over 5 years and only leaves the house for appointments and even doing this causes him great anxiety and distress.
We would love to send Simon to the Charles Linden Anxiety Recovery Retreat where they offer a four day anxiety recovery programme for Sufferers of Anxiety, we believe that the Retreat is the Only Dedicated, Residential Anxiety Recovery Retreat in the country and has amazing success with some celebrities endorsing the programme.
As well as suffering from a crippling Anxiety disorder Simon has ADHD and high functioning autism and desires nothing more than to run his own business, he has a few ideas in mind but without funding he is struggling to move from idea to the next stage. He has educated himself at home by listening to hundreds of books and watching lots of lectures and seminars on various topics. Simon didn’t finish schooling due to his ADHD but contrary to this is extremely intelligent with a well above average IQ and teaches us about many varied topics .
Simon has had the mind of an entrepreneur since being very young he would charge children in the playground 20p to be pushed on the swings and even got into trouble in the playground selling chewing gum to the other children for a profit .
We have absolutely no doubt in our minds that Simon will be very successful one day we just want him to be well and have the same opportunity as any other young person who wants to be successful in whatever it is they choose to do, we just know that Simon may have more barriers to overcome than most and it may not be as easy for him but with the support of his family and hopefully the generosity of others, We will be able to help Simon Start his life and help him have hope for the future.
