Mr and Mrs Anderson

On 22 June 2018, Charlie and Gayle Anderson were tragically both taken from their family and friends as a result of their murders at their new home in the Mount Pleasant district of Portland, Jamaica.

They were just beginning the next chapter of their lives, retiring to Jamaica before this horrific tragedy. As you may be aware, the couple were victims of fraud whilst in Jamaica and were robbed of their life savings before their lives were heartbreakingly then taken.

Charlie and Gayle enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 55 years and leave behind their two sons, Mark and Glen, their four adored grand-children, Stacey, Chloe, Jake and Leah and one great-grandchild, 'Nellie', as well as more close family and friends who they loved dearly - too many to mention but they know who they are.

Both Charlie and Gayle were extremely hardworking. The couple ran a DIY business in the 1990's. Mr Anderson was a builder by trade and Mrs Anderson spent most of her life as a Manager in the textile industry before latterly working in retail. They were pillars of the community in Manchester and Jamaica, they were always happy and helping others when they could.

The family are doing everything within their powers to bring their mum and dad, grandma and grandad, and aunt and uncle home to Manchester, UK. This is why we're raising funds to support some of the financial costs associated with giving Charlie and Gayle the best possible send off. Many of you have been asking how to contribute at this hard time which has resulted in the creation of this page.

We initially put the target to £5000 as we had to be realistic as to what everyone could afford to support with. Because of your amazing generosity that £5000 target was achieved within 24 hours. £5000 helps towards the funeral costs for one of them.
