We need your help!

Our community shop has been community-owned as a not-for-profit for more than 20 years. Two simple portacabins have become a vital lifeline for us and the surrounding villages not only for essential items but also as a safe space for a coffee and a chat. Our shop is almost entirely run by local volunteers who not only ensure we are well-stocked and have a friendly welcome, but also deliver groceries and newspapers to those in our community who are less able. Many of our elderly villagers, our young children and our visiting cyclists, hikers and canal enthusiasts pop in regularly for a friendly chat and their essentials.

Our little shop is now on its last legs, with the flooring and roof beyond repair. Our hopes for a lottery grant were recently dashed and our funding applications from the government were halted with the change in leadership. This is our last hope for a new, simple, eco-friendly building to continue the heartbeat of our community.

These donations will help us bridge thr gap in funding for the new shop build and help us with ongoing running costs to keep this vital community service running!
