Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
On July 18th I am doing a skydive for the charity CSPB (Clifton Suicide Prevention Bristol). They are a non profit organisation who help prevent deaths by suicide in Bristol.
The topic of suicide is something very close to not only my heart but for my family and friends as well. Unfortunately the suicide rate in the UK is constantly growing and due to the rapid increase and the low funding of the NHS and mental health resources. Charities such as CSPB are volunteers who help save the lives of those experiencing suicidal thoughts, or those who are going to act on their thoughts.
I have witnessed first hand that the charity CSPB have helped prevent the death of a very close friend of mine and if it wasn't for them my life would have been changed drastically. I would like to thank them for this and hope those around me would be able to thank them too.
For the past couple years I have struggled with a few mental health disorders and have been fortunate enough to have such amazing support around me to help me get to a better place. I have so many people to be thankful for, for keeping me alive and if it wasn't for those individuals I would not be here. I would like to thank those who have helped me but also help those who may not be as lucky as I was.
I will be Skydiving from 15,000 ft in aid of Suicide Prevention, it would mean a great deal to not only myself but the charity as well if you could donate to this cause.
