Story
Luke is doing a 1500ft skydive on Friday the 7th Sept, at Skydive Buzz at Dunkerswell, to raise money to purchase power assisted wheels for his brother's wheelchair. Steve broke his neck in 2 places and is now paralysed from the chest down with limited arm movement and no hand or finger function (C5 tetraplegic) because of this he is unable to push a manual wheelchair. Power assisted wheels have motors incorporated into the wheel hubs and allows the wheels to be propelled with only the slightest effort, the power assisted function does the rest. This would make a massive difference to Steve and make it so much easier for him when in his manual chair. These wheels are not provided by the NHS and have to be purchased privately. The cost of the wheels (wheels only, no chair) is £5700. We have been given a grant from Schuh Trust for £4000 so need to raise the rest. Luke is being sponsored to do his skydive in an effort to raise the remainder. Your sponsorship would be extremely appreciated. Thank you so much x
