Story
⭐️Who We Are
All Things Bar (ATB) is a community‑driven organisation dedicated to widening access to the Bar and supporting aspiring barristers from underrepresented and non‑traditional backgrounds. Founded by a Bar Course student who wanted to create a space and community where aspiring legal professionals can gain valuable experience, guidance, and support, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. At the beginning of my own journey to the Bar, I found the process isolating and difficult to navigate, with limited access to information and opportunities. I didn’t want others to face the same challenges alone.
ATB exists to provide the guidance, community, and support that so many students say they are missing.
🌟 Why We’re Raising £1,000
We are raising £1,000 to continue and expand our work in 2026.
Every pound directly supports our mission and allows ATB to:
✅ Run free, high‑quality workshops
Topics such as: • Mini‑pupillage applications • Advocacy skills • Legal research & drafting • Networking • Pathways to the Bar • Careers panels and wellbeing events
✅ Provide accessible opportunities
We ensure our events remain free and open to aspiring barristers from working‑class, disabled, refugee, and ethnic minority backgrounds who often face financial, social, and structural barriers.
✅ Cover essential operational costs
Venue hire, travel support for speakers, accessibility needs, materials, and digital tools for our outreach programmes.
✅ Build partnerships with universities, chambers, and legal organisations.
Helping us open doors to networking opportunities, mentoring, and potential work experience for students who rarely get access.
Your donation helps us keep ATB’s work — and impact — alive.
🌟 What We’ve Achieved So Far (Year One)
In our first year, ATB delivered multiple events attended by over 100 students, including:
* Non-Traditional Routes to the Bar
* Road to the Bar 1&2
* Legal Research & Drafting
* Pupillage Season Preparation Session
The feedback has been deeply moving:
💬 “The strategies for time keeping were so helpful.” 💬 “I left feeling a sense of oneness and community.” 💬 “I feel empowered as a woman — this really uplifted me.” 💬 “It reminded me that my grades do not define me.”
Our work is not just informative — it is transformational, especially for those who feel unseen or unsupported within the legal profession.
⭐️Why Your Support Matters
The legal profession cannot become diverse, equitable, or accessible without community‑powered initiatives like ATB. We are small but impact‑driven. We are grassroots but ambitious. We are committed to reaching those who would otherwise fall through the cracks.
Your donation directly helps us:
Keep delivering free workshops
Reach more aspiring barristers
Remove financial barriers
Support students through the hardest parts of their legal journey
Build a stronger, more inclusive future at the Bar
Even £5 makes a difference. £20 covers workshop materials. £50 subsidises travel for a speaker. £100 helps secure an affordable venue.
Together, we can open doors that have been closed for far too long.
