Story
After years of working towards owning our own land, Love for All finally have a new plot of land of our own to move onto! This is a huge exciting step for us and provides our centre with security we have not had before, providing a secure home for those in our care. We are fundraising to make direct improvements on this land this summer, to help the move go swiftly and easily, ensuring that our children and young people can live comfortably!
Money also raised will help to go towards home visiting packages to be distributed within the local community and ensuring that our children have access to the most basic, yet vital necessities!
Love for All children’s rescue centre opened up in 2012 to provide love, care, protection, food and education to some of Kenya’s most vulnerable children. The centre, located in Rhonda slum, has an onsite orphanage, as well as a nursery school which caters for children aged 3 to 7 years. We currently have 14 orphans living on-site, with many more who, though are still under our supervision, have been re-homed within the local community.
Our main aim is to give these children a second chance at life, by keeping them off of the streets and ensuring that they receive the rights that every child is entitled to.
Main aims:
- Provide shelter for orphans and street children.
- Run a successful feeding programme for those children who access the centre.
- Provide clothing and other basic necessities for the children in our care.
- Ensure that vulnerable children are able to access education.
- Assist with the social and emotional development of vulnerable children by providing the love, protection and support that they require.
