    Story

Dylans grandmas next door neighbour is doing an amazing thing to help raise funds towards Dylans eye gaze. Here is what she is looking to do.

To help raise the money for Dylan’s machine, I’m offering to edit / advise on 10,000 words plus a synopsis of your novel. I’m going to do a ‘blind auction’. The winner will be announced on December 1st, and I will do the editing in January 2019.

This will be a whole day’s work, so I’d like to start the bidding at £150.00. EVERY PENNY will go to Dylan’s ‘Eye Gaze’ fund.

This is my son, Dylan. He is six years old.

Please help him talk to us.

On Wednesday 18th November 2015, Dylan was eating his lunch and choked on his ham sandwich.

I tried to remove the blockage but couldn’t, and Dylan went in to cardiac arrest.

I dialled 999 and began CPR immediately.

Six paramedics (including two from the Air Ambulance) rushed to our house, but Dylan’s brain had been without oxygen for 45 minutes and he was in a really bad way. He was airlifted to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, where he remained for 20 months.

Dylan now has Global Hypoxia (severe brain damage), as a result of this he has Dystonia, meaning his body is very rigid and he suffers from painful spasms.

He’s also non-verbal. When he’s at school, he uses ‘Eye Gaze’ technology, which helps him communicate with just his eyes. Dylan’s working very hard on this at school and it would help him so much to have the same machine at home. It would be so wonderful if Dylan could talk to us again.

The ‘Eye Gaze’ machine costs £2395 http://www.inclusive.co.uk/all-in-one-eyegaze-education. We’re trying to raise £3,000 to cover the cost of the machine, as well as the admin costs. Anything left over will be donated to Dylan’s school to help them buy more equipment for other students.

Please help Dylan communicate. It will mean the world to him – and us!

    Thank you.
