Respected brothers & sisters,

Assalaam Alaykum

Al Madeenah Islamic School & Centre ( Rochdale, Greater Manchester) is in urgent need of your financial help.

This islamic school and center has been humbly serving the local community since it was established in 2010, teaching your children Quran, Tajweed, Arabic and Islamic Studies. There are also Hifz (Quran memorisation), Tajweed and Tafseer classes for adults, with traditional texts in the science of Qiraat (authentic different readings of the Quran) taught to the more advanced students and specialists. The school also has students reading to the Sheikh for Ijaza/ Isnaad (chain of authority) connected to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the various authentic Qiraat of the Quran.

However, it is unfortunate that due to recent escalated running costs, whilst at the same time trying to keep schools fees as minimal as possible, the school is facing quite severe financial strain. We are therefore appealing to you, brothers and sisters, to help by donating to this nobel cause as much as you can.

Apart from helping to cover running costs of the school, your donations will also go towards essential repairs of the centre. There are currently major building works required for the roof, toilet and Wu’du (ablution) facilities as well as to the heating systems and to cover Ramadan expenses.

We humbly request that you give as much as you can in this time of need and, if possible, we would encourage regular donations, either through a standing order or otherwise as this will provide us with more assurance that we can continue to deliver our community services effectively. In doing so, please remember the words of our blessed Prophet ﷺ: "Charity does not decrease your wealth" (Muslim).

The centre has full UK charity status (Charity Number: 1146614).

Due to uk weather where it rains and snows most of the months (which has caused serious damage to our roof). A extension above the existing foundation is much needed. This will provide a prayer hall as well as more classrooms. Your money will be Sadaqah Jaariyah (Continuous charity after your death) & rewards for everyone that reads prayers here & for every letter of the Quran that is taught & read by the children and the community. Give Sadaqqah on behalf of your loved ones that have passed away or a blessing for those who are still alive.
