I will be working as part of an expedition team tasked with activities which make a real difference in an under-developed community. The primary goals are to contribute in a way that makes a lasting difference and supports the aim of making sustainable improvements to those that we work alongside. I will be allocated specific tasks as well as a number of soft-skill initiatives like teaching, sports, reading programmes and playing games with local children.

The challenge will also see me get involved in manual labour tasks such as renovating school facilities; building additional school classrooms, teacher housing, dormitories or toilet blocks; establishing a clean water supply; designing playgrounds; planting vegetable gardens; mending or putting up fencing; building traditional housing for vulnerable members of a community.

My first task, and step towards demonstrating that I have earned a place on World Challenge, is to show my commitment through my fundraising efforts and anything that you can donate will be hugely appreciated and go towards realising my dream of being able to join a team tasked with making a difference in a community much less privileged than ours.
