Dear family and friends all over the world,

February 6th has changed our family forever. Turkey and Syria earthquake has affected many people, including our family. Within hours they have lost their homes, their city, their memories and loved ones. They had no time take any belongings with them, escaped as they standing. No one can live there. My husband Alper flew to Istanbul on the 7th of February to rent a car and drive over 17 hours with his brothers to take water, warm clothes and food for family, who were left with no help. No rescue specialists arrived to Antakya until Wednesday/Thursday. That’s 3 days after the disaster. UK specialist team of 77 arrived before any local help. My sister‘s in law brother pulled his sister dead from the rubble with his own bare hands, along with his niece. Trauma and hell they had to go through and still going is unimaginable. All of the sudden there is nothing left: no house, no clothes, no water, no food - absolutely nothing. We have many relatives and friends, who lost their lives and many many more who survived and need our help. We are helping what we can, but cannot raise enough to help everyone.
