I would like more people to cycle so that they can discover the sheer joy of it.

In previous lives, I was a coach and cycle trainer for British Cycling and various London Boroughs, and used some of the time to train adults and children to cycle safely on London's streets. I'd happy to train you or put you in others that can.

This August I'll be cycling along the River Rhine from its source in Switzerland and across Europe, something close to a 1000 miles over two weeks. And I'd like to use the trip to raise funds to buy cycling equipment for Alperton Community School: helmets, cycle locks, as well as cycles so that more people are encouraged to cycle.

I'd be really grateful if you could support this endeavour.

Cycling has been an important part of most of life. I brought my first new cycle more than 30 years ago. I've had it ever since and used it to cycle in Liverpool, London, Glasgow and Europe. I've covered 1000s of miles and saved in excess of £50,000.
