What’s the issue?
Since COVID19 and more recently the cost of living crisis, we have seen a huge increase in requests for help. Not a day goes by without numerous requests to take in dogs that people can no longer care for.
For some months now have been forced to close our doors and suspend our already long waiting list. Sadly we only see the situation getting worse as the cost of living crisis deepens.
How do we solve it?
If we could raise enough money to install another four kennel spaces we could potentially house up to another 8 dogs.
We know this is a big ask when everybody is feeling the pinch but turning so many people away is emotionally exhausting.
To keep costs down we will utilise friends, family and volunteers to do as much of the work as possible but we still need to employ a builder to get the slab down and buy the building itself.
What if we don’t meet our target?
We really hope we can meet our target but if we have to give up on our dreams, any funds raised will be used towards the running of the rescue
