Story
I'm raising £8,500 to fund the much needed replacement of 4 sightscreens.
Alvanley is entirely amateur and 100% volunteer-run. Every penny that comes in to Alvanley goes directly to improve and maintain the club.
This project needs to raise £8500 to buy 4 new sightscreens.
Sightscreens are used for matches and training for batters to sight the ball against the background and are essential items.
Alvanley has teams from Reception age right through to the 5 Womens' and Mens' teams. The club currently has well over 200 junior players.
A major part of this fundraiser is a stump relay. We are relay-ing a stump from on the ground at Lords back to Alvanley. The first leg is a 15 mile walk to Watford. leg 2 is a 62 mile cycle to Banbury, followed by leg 3 - a cycle to Wolverhampton. Leg 4 is a kayak / paddle to Gnosall with a further day on the water on day 5 as the paddlers carry on to Audlem. Day 6 will see the Sandstone trail tackled as the stump heads home to Alvanley.
The REMARKABLE Kev Honeysett is doing all the legs. Hoards of others will join him, primarily to take on the last leg. Get behind Kev as he tackles this outrageous challenge!!!
Please help Alvanley CC achieve this target.
Thanks
