I've raised £6000 to ensure Alvanley Cricket Club is able to survive these unprecedented times

In these unprecedented times we as a club are having to do all we can to ensure our club is able to get through these current turbulent times. By this point we would have started our seasons with both 1st and 2nd XI teams and our popular Friday night sessions and junior fixtures would be up and running. As a club we are missing seeing all of our members, followers, supporters and visiting teams. Each and every one of you are extremely important to our club community and make the club a fantastic place to spend time at.
Following an online committee meeting we have decided to refrain from asking for membership payments from junior players during this period of uncertainty This alone last year raised the club £6000.
Our treasurer has worked hard to try and predict the financial implications for us as a club, given that we are losing membership fees, BBQ profit and bar profits from match days. Additionally it is looking highly likely that the club will be unable to host social functions for members and non members alike, placing further strain on our funds. As a committee we feel we need to take action to help us weather this storm.
To ensure we are able to continue to operate and be in a position to maintain our existing facilities we have set up this page. Please share the page and if you feel you could donate then we would greatly appreciate your support during this difficult period. It will help the club greatly enabling us to continue to provide recreational cricket at Alvanley. Up the Alv and thanks for your ongoing support.
