HELP A GENUINE KIND AND LOVING FAMILY 🇰🇭

Me and my friend Stephen have decided to create this page to help raise money for our friend who we met while travelling in Cambodia. Saro is a hard working, caring and loving father to a young family. He and his family of 4 live with his elderly parents, his 2 brothers and their small children and his sister’s young family also. So yes best ddinner time is quite hectic! We first met Saro while doing his Tuk Tuk tour of the surrounding areas of Batambang which was one of our best days in Cambodia yet. After spending the day with him we realised what an amazing person he was and we really wanted to see more of his life. We asked him could we meet his family and maybe stay with them and in exchange to help them around their land doing whatever jobs we could (which never happened as he never let us do anything as it was always “too hot“ for us to work! That was just Saro wanting us to relax and enjoy our time away) We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but stayed 6! Then we were heading to Thailand so we left, kept in touch when we could and 2 weeks later we came back to Cambodia and headed straight to Saro’s home in which he gladly welcomed us back to stay again. He was supposed to pick us up from the border but had to arrange for his friend to collect us and told us that his tuk tuk had broken down! We arrived to see his bike detatched from the seats on the back and the engine in pieces as he and his father (at 70 years of age) desperately tried to fix it but as this is not the first time it has broken down it has finally given in. He is the main source of income for the family other than the small stall selling fresh home grown produce which his parents run outside the home. He is now trying to do bycycle tours with the families push bikes while it is broken to try to keep some money coming in.

This man would give us the last dollar he had if we needed it and we was complete strangers to him a month ago. Just having the privaledge to watch this family live and spend time with them has shown us so much about life. For people that have nothing yet are still so happy is truly unbelievable.

Please help us to buy him a new motorcycle so he can continue providing for his family and giving his children the basics so they can grow up to be strong and caring people just like their dad.

Also he doesn’t know that we have created this page so what a suprise it will be for him to get back on his Tuk Tuk and do what he loves showing people his country he is so proud of!
