Story
200 pigs for 300 quid!
Lucy's two passions in life are Cub Scouts and animals. She is working towards her Animal Carer badge and would love to help by raising some money to support Glynneath Guinea Pig Rescue and Boarding, in South Wales.
Lucy is aiming to make, paint or draw 200 guinea pigs in a week, starting Monday 12th November '18.
Glynneath Guinea Pig Rescue and Boarding is run by Suzy, from her home, and Suzy works seven days a week looking after the guinea pigs and finding them new permanent homes. Suzy gives huge amounts of her time to caring for guineas, looking after poorly piggies or taking the time to bond lonely guinea pigs with others so that they can find the companionship they need before they are ready to find a new home. Suzy provides a permanent home for some piggies that have health needs that make them unsuitable to be rehomed. Suzy can have between 50-60 guinea pigs in the rescue at any one time!
The rescue centre is funded largely by providing holiday boarding for guinea pigs whose owners are on holiday. They also charge a small donation fee for adopted pets, and they have an Amazon wishlist, with much needed supplies such as food and bedding.
Lucy has adopted two guinea pigs from Glynneath, and these piggies have quickly become a part of our family life.
Lucy would love to support Glynneath Guinea Pig Rescue, so please help her reach her target!

6 years agoDay 7: Saturday. Lucy has worked so hard today to complete her challenge. In fact, she woke me up at 7am to start painting piggy pebbles, and continued to work hard all day, creating some more piggy pictures , some finishing touches to her clay piggies, baking and decorating some guinea pig biscuits and making a very cute guinea pig toy out of felt. Lucy named him Lord Piggity and spent a fair amount of time learning how to sew and how to not lose a needle inside a guinea pig's tummy. I think she has done a brilliant job! Thank you all, Lucy x
