£190raised of £2,500 target by 9 supporters

Weʼre raising £2,500 to Raise funds for the Davison school trip to Ghana with ‘World Challenge’, where Amalie will be helping build a new school.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Hi, my name is Amalie and I am 14 years old. I have been selected as one of 18 students at Davison High to go to Ghana and help build a new school. I believe that every child should have an education and am really excited to help make the Ghanaian children’s the best it can be.

I went through a tricky elimination process with over 80 applicants from years 9 and 10. The trip is in July 2019 and so I have 18 months to raise £2500. I have a few fundraising ideas such as; a danceathon, a quiz night, a sponsored walk and some babysitting, but the first big sponsored event arranged through school is an abseil on Saturday 21st April. Any donations would be greatly appreciated, it doesn‘t matter how small, anything will help. Thank you!

Last week, I had the chance to abseil as part of my fundraising for Ghana. I successfully managed to complete it. Thank you to all those who sponsored me, on my just giving page or in cash, I really appreciate it. My next event is the colour obstacle rush in Brighton, which I will be doing in May. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Thanks so much to all those of you who have helped to get the ball rolling on my Ghana fundraising, from just giving donations to babysitting duties It has been a really exciting start. My first school fundraising challenge is just around the corner. This Saturday on 21st April we will be going to Epsom Downs racecourse to abseil 90 feet down the Queen’s stand - more than a little scary! I’m determined to do it but any donations in support of this challenge would really help get me over the edge. I will update you all as to how I get on.
