Story
I will be running the Grimsby 10k on the 21st July 2019 and the ABP costal half marathon on 15th September 2019 to raise funds for an amazing support group called KDARs for kids which is a support group for children and families dealing with CKD and other renal issues.
I have personally had help and support from KDARS for kids when my youngest son was diagnosed with grade 5 Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) in his left kidney, he was 4 months old, this was found during my pregnancy at 28 weeks. At 6 months old we found out that he had 9% function in his left kidney and 91% in his right kidney.

When he was just over a year old on the 16th December 2016 he had his left kidney removed.

Without the support of KDARs I would have struggled. Even now KDARs are an amazing support network for me. As since my youngest son went through this my oldest son has ben found to have a congenital kidney problem which has caused his right kidney to be a lot smaller than it should be and it is functioning at 21% where his normal left kidney is fuctioning at 79%.
