I'm raising £750 to participate in the Wild Biome Project 2, British Isles 2025

I'm raising £750 to enable me to fully participate in the Wild Biome Project 2, 2025, established by Mo Wilde, author of 'The Wilderness Cure.' The funds raised will pay for my gut biome testing throughout the period of the project.
Why am I choosing to participate?
I have suffered from IBS since I was 19, now rising 64. In recent years I was further diagnosed with diverticulitis. So I want to prevent further aggravation, and see whether a change in microbiome will affect this condition. There are all ready studies to suggest that the microbiome is linked to this dis-ease.
During the lockdown, Mo and a friend, Matthew Rooney, lived for a year eating wild food in Central Scotland. Living on foraged food had a profound effect on both of them, Mo retuning to a healthy BMI, and Matthew, a type 2 diabetic, to pre-diabetic bloods in just 9 weeks.
In 2023, 24 members of the Association of Foragers joined Mo in a citizen science research study, eating only foraged, wild food for either 3 months or 1 month. Dan Saladino, (The Food Programme, BBC Radio 4), covered this in the summer of 2023 and will be covering this also in 2025.
The testing will help assess the the impact on the microbiome composition and key health parameters of people eating an exclusively wild food diet. We are committed to publishing peer-reviewed results in an open-source academic journal (2023 under peer review at the moment) so that many more people may benefit from our insights.
We are all volunteers on this project.
Your donation will help this unique opportunity to track the impact of a foraged diet. This study is important as it will make a huge contribution to what we know about the indigenous western human gut microbiome and how significant the loss of wild foods must be for our diet.
