I've raised £1300 to Help to pay for the vets bill and the cremation of the 2 pony's I rescued many years ago Patch and Claudia 30 & 31 yrs old

This was Patch when we rescued him, he was all skin and bone, tied to a lamppost by his leg left to die. Claudia was a normal Shetland pony but she was terrified of brushes because she had been threatened with a sweeping brush so she was terrified of people. Both Patch and Claudia got the best of everything. Patch was so small when we first had him,I took him to the vets in the back of my old Vauxhall Cavalier hatchback, I picked him up I did ask the police if it was OK I told them he was as big as an Alsatian they said that is fine, so mum on the back seat with the map holding on to a lead rope, there was nothing that could be done about his foot is was down to how he was bred.Gina moved them into the garage the vet thought that was brilliant because Claudia has very very bad arthritis and cushings and what with patch and his joint problems it was like rickets in humans, but the saw everyone, went for a walk down the lane and graze on the lawn they had been in wedding photos everyone loved them then Gina noticed Patch had massive swelling it was a hernia and the vet could see some of his guts,it couldn't be operated on and the vet checked Claudia's arthritis and it had got worse the vet said "now is their time". So they were put to sleep then Kings Hill Individual Equine & Pet Cremations came and collected them, they were carried into the trailer. It was done with dignity. As I keep being told they would't have lived a long and happy life as they did. They were loved by us and everybody that meet th em
