Story
Hello my fur baby Louie is a 4 year old French Bulldog who has just been diagnosed with a slipped disc and needs an emergency MRI scan and spinal surgery on his neck. The nerve in his neck is touching his spinal cord and he is paralysed in his front right paw and his rear right paw he also has no bladder control. The PDSA vet that he is currently in the care of believe that surgery would benefit him but time is of the essence as the longer he is left untreated the worse the outcome. The PDSA does not have a MRI scanner and they have no specialist vets that do spinal surgery as its a charity organisation. Louie would need specialist private veterinary care but the cost of an MRI is anything between £1000 - £4000 and the surgery can be anything up to £7000 this is an amount of money i just cannot afford. Louie is a very much loved pet in fact he is more than a pet he is my family member and i really cant comprehend the bleak outlook that the PDSA has given me that if surgery is not an option then due to his bladder incontinence they cannot realease him home to me and the only option is for me to let him go which i cant even begin to accept. I am pleading for any financial help big or small that the kind hearted public can help with just to give my beautiful beloved fur baby the best chance of survival. Whatever you can afford will be so much appreciated and i thank you in advance for this plea. Many Thanks. Amanda xx
