Story

Im trying to raise some money to help my elderly aunt. At 81 she is a very independant lady who will not accept help easily and will definately not ask for help. She lives alone and has done so for many many years. She had a mini stroke 2 years ago and since finds shes unsteady on her feet. Up until the stroke she walked up to her local shop every morning to get her newspaper and went on the bus to town twice a week to do her shopping, but that has all stopped now. I go to the shop on my way to work every morning to get her paper and I do her shopping for her at the weekend. In addition to this she had major sugery 2 weeks ago to remove a mass, which weighed 4kg, along with a total hysterectomy.

With the money I raise i would love to buy her a mobility scooter so she can have some independance back and be able to pop up the shop to get her paper on her own, so she doesnt always have to rely on me. Its also hard on me as I feel guilty if I can’t get to the shops for her and I have to arrange for help elsewhere. She is such a wonderful lady who has always been there for me as i grew up and I want to give something back. I would also like to get a stair lift fitted for her as it really worries me with her gettibg up and down the stairs alone.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story xx
