1 in 2 people will be affected by cancer and I personally have lost family members and friends to cancer, so this is very close to my heart. I am proud to say I work for Cancer Research and all that they stand for and after a quite serious shoulder injury last October I wanted a goal to aid my recovery. Climbing Ben Nevis will be the hardest thing Ive probably ever done. Lets face it, im a middle aged overweight woman with no experience at all. Its going to be physically and mentally the most challenging day of my life so far, however, it is nothing compared to dealing with a diagnosis of cancer. The money raised through just giving will be added to my in store sponsorship to fund life saving research. Times are tough for many people and if you are able to give anything towards my goal I will be eternally grateful. I am carrying a flag to the summit and if you would like a loved ones name adding to the flag please let me know and ill take them, with me, to the summit of the highest mountain in the UK .
