    Story

    Hi all,
Thank you for visiting Sorayah's Go Fund me page.
Here is a little information about Sorayah and the reason behind why we need your help. One day after Sorayah's 8th birthday she was admitted to Bristol Children's Hospital. In the week that followed we were told that Sorayah has a tumor growing inside her head. After numerous examinations and tests the results came back as malignant and is a form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Sorayah has been so brave. She is unable to have surgery as the sensitive location of the tumor any damage could be irreparable.
Sorayah is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Bristol Children's Hospital and has been advised by specialists that the most suitable radiotherapy treatment is called Proton Therapy. Unfortunately, its not available in the U.K at present but would best suit Sorayah's needs as it will protect the healthy cells surrounding the tumor resulting in minimal damage to her brain giving her the best chance of future development. They will need to go to America for the Proton Therapy treatment. Its expected to last 10 weeks.
The amazing NHS will cover the cost of flights, accommodation and treatment. The reason we have set up this page is to ask if you would kindly donate a small amount to help fund the living expenses for Sorayah and Tasha during her treatment.
As a parent this is something that you would never expect to happen to your child, therefore it is impossible to prepare for.
We only hope to raise enough for Sorayah and Tash to be able to survive in America without the additional worry of financial strain. We will donate any additional funds to BCH Oncology Ward whos staff have been amazing throughout and are there 24hours to assist families through difficult times as sadly Sorayah will not be the last to be diagnosed.

Thank you for taking the time to read Sorayahs story xx
