Story

I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to travel to Kenya with the Weald Sixth Form this summer for two and a half weeks to build classrooms and schools for children in Kenya. Since 2006, our school has raised and donated over £340,000, money that is responsible for the construction of 75 new classrooms in 34 different schools. During this trip, myself and roughly 50 other students will be able to build another 3 classrooms for deprived communities within the country. As well as this, we will be visiting orphanages and slums, and meeting some of the Kenyan children that we will be helping by building the classrooms. To fund the building materials, we have each been asked to raise a minimum of £300. To raise this, I have had the idea to run a charity football match for the local men, however, to make it more interesting, there will be a twist. This is that all players must be dressed in drag. Any donations would be really appreciated. Many thanks, Amaya.
