Story
2019 is the 240th anniversary of the first publication of well known hymn Amazing Grace in the Olney Hymns. We are celebrating this with a charity fund raising walk from Milton Keynes to Emberton Country Park, followed by an Event in Olney.
Go to www.amazingpilgrimage.co.uk for more information. Please talk part in the walk and pre register. Check out our promo video on YouTube.
We are registering to be a charity (application no.5142941) Our aims are:
To promote awareness of the activities of John Newton regarding his Anti Slavery campaigning and the writing of the universally recognised Amazing Grace song.
To raise funds for locally based charities that assist disadvantaged people in the Milton Keynes area and the developing world. MK Act (women's refuge), Bus Shelter MK (homeless), Advantage Africa and OlneyNewtonLink.
To promote inclusion by helping and encouraging different communities in the Milton Keynes area and abroad to come together by meeting and working co-operatively.

Thank you so much for organising this so perfectly, (another lovely walk discovered from Sherington). The Olney church service was a fitting end to the day. Good luck to you all.
