Story

I started off as a Rainbow when I was 5 yrs old and when I turned 6yrs old I transferred to Scouting going through Beavers then Cubs, Scouts and now an Explorer Scout. I am also a Young Leader for the Cubs section. I have gained many skills and badges within each of these sections including getting my Chief Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards within the sections. I also take part in the Archery section for Scouting at National Level. By showing my commitment and help to the Scouting Association I have had the opportunity to represent Scouting/Guiding for Stevenage and the UK in the World Scout Jamboree in 2019. Which is being hosted in West Virginia in North America. I then went through different stages to get to this opportunity, such as interviews and skilled activities to try and prove I was worthy for this great opportunity and I won a space out of 4 available!
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to do, but to get there I need to fundraise my fee to go which is £3777.00. When I return from the Jamboree I will become an International Ambassador for Scouting. This will be a great accolade to have to inspire more children coming through Scouting. I want to hopefully raise £1500 on this website as I have planned to hopefully raise the rest though Quiz Evenings, Cake selling, Bag Packing and themed events around the USA to build on this whole adventure.
