I've raised £1050 to help me reach the stage at the 2019 canoe slalom World Cup series

I was privileged enough to qualify to race at the Team GB canoe slalom olympic selection series in April. I had a lot of time to reflect on what sport means to me, and why I think it's important that athletes have a voice as well as a stage. I feel incredibly lucky to have qualified a place on the 2019 senior world cup team for world cups 2, 3 and 4.
As an athlete you are put in a unique position to help deliver messages that are vital to education, quality of life and sustainable lifestyles across the world. It's come to my attention recently that you can have a massive voice if you are brave and choose to talk about difficult things. You don't need a gold medal or a million followers. Your voice, on your personal platform, will be all the noise the world needs.
I don't want to just be a sportsperson. Sport should give something back to society that it can't get from any other industry, a storyline that proves you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I want my personal story to inspire people to make changes in their lives that they never thought they'd make, and strive to achieve things they never imagined possible.
I've made this page to ask for help to get on my personal platform, to deliver messages that sport has given me and help people see the potential in their own journeys. If you'd like to join me on my journey, I'm unbelievably grateful. If you'd just like to hear or spread the message, then I want you to know that I'm here.
