Hi, my name is Amber, and I'm here to tell my sister's story, she took her final breaths on Sunday, the 16th of February, 2025.

On the 27th of August 2011, my sister Victoria Richards aged 22 years young she had been shortly diagnosed with a serious heart condition cardiomophaie within just month's tory had a major heart attack at home with her 18 month old baby girl her brain was starved of oxygen for 40 minutes due to a delay in emergency services leaving her brain damaged and starved of oxygen, when she was admitted in hospital she was put in a coma to preserve her however was told she wouldn't wake up from the coma neither remember or do a thing for herself, she later then become ill whilst in hospital and was told she would die overnight besides that she fought through it all and survived it, she got well besides being told she would have another heart attack and also they wouldn't resuscitate her if she did well she come out of it beat pneumonia beat not having another heart attack and remembered everything and everyone however her body was so badly deteriated she wasn't able to do nothing which left her bed bound but able understand everything and reconise everyone and communicating via signs and blink.

6 months later tory was then placed in a neurological home but her treatment was shortly stopped they had already wrote her of and her abilities snd fundings was was with drawn because they felt she was to far gone however i can garantee you she wasnt and with the right care and money she would of made at least 80 percent recovery, she was once being fed mcdonals and fluids whilst in hospital untill they began to peg feed her as it was easier for them, tory was then put in a care home and pretty much left without any training or real neurological help like she deserved and needed, me and my mum was teaching her things but they said it was just in our heads we wasn't making it up, tory then spent the next 15 years in a care home which has been found to neglect her needs multiply times by adult social services.

Thursday 13th of February 2025 torys care home admitted tory to A&E after she had been really ill for the last 3 weeks they put it down to changing her peg feed formular for no real reason as she was fine on her previous one, by the time my sister was admitted to hospital she was pretty much already a goner 80 percent of her lungs was filled with infection pneumonia, her feed had entered her lungs causing infection the care home didn't take her to hospital in the right time if they did she would still be alive after 3 long days battling in hopsital the doctor said my sisters heart and done the work of a person running a three day marathon no breaks, lungs filled so full with infection she wasn't able to breath alone only with oxygen, the doctor made the decision that tory was in pain and suffering and asked us if we'd agree to let her go by slowly reducing her oxygen so she could pass away , 8 hours after the last bit of oxygen given we watch our dear tory take her last breaths and die peacefully with all her family including her 16 year daughter isla holding her hand she was battling to the very end, she kissed my mum goodbye and went without pain.

For 15 years she's sat in a care home with no real meaning of life she's now finally free but with such sudden deteriation we are now left to fund her the send of she deserves which is why I am here telling my story in hope anyone who is in the postion to help will help us through our tragic time and take of any type of financial support we need right now whilst we still mourn our loss my sister didn't deserve to defy the odds of surviving a heart attack and living 15 years to then later die just aged 35 due to severe neglect the care home caused her. Any amount from £1 pound would take just that little bit of stress off us right now.
