Malawi is a small land-locked and undeveloped country in Africa, but nicknamed 'The Heart of Africa' it is definitely a warm and loving country full of beautiful people.
Sadly, along with many other obstacles, Malawi is at war with HIV.

HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system and weakens your ability to fight infection and disease. In Malawi this can easily lead to illness preventing people being able to go into school or work, it can also lead to death from AIDS or other illnesses. However, with early diagnosis and effective treatment, most people with HIV will not go on to develop AIDS.

Due to poor sex/ hygiene education a lot of young people and adults aren't aware of how HIV spreads, how to prevent spreading/catching HIV, or how to seek help to live a healthy and happy life, even if HIV positive.

Starting small and within the community I believe we can spread HIV awareness across many peoples and communities and educate them on how to stay safe and well. Children need to be able to stay in education and adults in work without illness taking their rights away.

Help me educate young boys and girls on the disease and how to properly protect themselves. Help me attract local young people to workshops and small events that keep them social, busy and away from trouble elsewhere.

I am spending a month in Zomba, Malawi 2017. I'm fundraising for my stay and travel, and for the workshops I am providing. These will include games, creative sessions, sports and education!
I'm determined to give them a fun time and some good memories as well as provide education!
