Amber Taverns is proud to support Dave’s Day 2025, a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Dave Myers, one half of the Hairy Bikers, and a beloved son of Barrow. To honour his memory and continue his legacy of generosity and community spirit, we have set an ambitious fundraising target of £5000 to support Dave's Day 2025 which in turn will donate the money raised to two incredible charities: NSPCC Childline and CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Dave Myers was more than a TV icon—he was a man who brought people together through food, laughter, and kindness. At Amber Taverns, we’ve already paid tribute to Dave by painting a stunning mural at The Kings Arms in Barrow. Now, we’re taking it a step further by rallying our communities to raise vital funds for causes that mattered deeply to him.

Your donations will support Dave's Day who in turn will support:

NSPCC Childline, providing a lifeline for children in need.

CancerCare North Lancashire & South Cumbria, offering essential support to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Food Bank Drive – We’re also collecting food donations in our pubs to support the every pubs local Foodbank along with our sister pub The Kings in Barrow. Bring a tin, make a donation, and support the local community.
