I've raised £800 to Help with vet fees for my talented showjumper who has sadly been victim of a dog attack!

On Tuesday the 30th April late afternoon me & mam went down to check on the horses after already being down at 9.30am feeding. My mam noticed amber was not moving around in the field as shes normally the “field boss” and likes to keep the others on their toes, we went over to discover deep puncture wounds and the blood dripping down all four legs also behind her bottom lip and higher up her back legs on both inside & out. After 20 minutes of trying to move her into the stable resulting in her collapsing due to not being able to put weight on her front leg we called the vet who when arrived said straight away she had been victim of a dog attack. I have money put away in my savings but not enough to cover the full bill that is building up as the days go on, we are hoping the swelling will reduce enough to scan & x ray her leg as we are not sure if it may be tendon or check ligament damage. Amber is my 17.1 12year old showjumping mare who is very talented.. we suspect with it only being her that had been attacked out of a field of 3 horses that it had maybe been because shes quite a laid back type when it comes to dogs as she once used to hunt every season so dogs have never bothered her. I could quite imagine she probably just stood eating her hay as the dog approached her shes just that type. I will be forever grateful for any help/donations i am doing my very best for her and the vets i cant thank for how amazing they are being.. I will keep everyone updated with photos / videos and things as the days go on. Her legs today from the knee down are actually as swollen as her knee she struggled to get up this morning we had to go in and help. I cant stress how dangerous it is to have dogs loose around horses. 😰 we dont know who is responsible for this and sadly nobody has came forward as of yet. 😔
