I've raised £1000 to enable me to make a difference by working on development and ecological projects in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. .

I am running a half marathon in Wimbledon in October with my dad, to raise funds so that I can volunteer next summer in Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in the world. Camps International takes volunteers there to run social projects such as housing, healthcare and sanitation. 48% of Nicaraguans live below the poverty line. 2 million people don't have access to adequate sanitation.
Costa Rica is one of the most biologically diverse countries in the world, so projects here are mainly centred around conservation and environmental protection issues such as reforestation efforts and wildlife conservation.
