Story

HEAT OR EAT

We will all have heard 'Heat or Eat', an absolutely terrible situation to be in I think you will agree. Because of it, we know the need for Amble Food Bank will be increasing. Our Volunteers are deeply concerned about being able to continue supporting those in need in the coming months. We have already had an increase in service users due to the end of the £20 Universal Credit Uplift and currently support between 100 and 120 families and individuals, each of these receiving a food parcel once every 2 weeks.

We know this situation isn't going away any time soon. The lfirst time we set up a Just Giving Page (at the start of the first lock down) our Community was extremely generous. We hope this time you will help us have the confidence to be able to continue supporting those in need for as long as we possibly can.

The people we support are referred to us by Northumberland Communities Together, Doctors, District Nurses, Health Workers, Social Workers, Schools and CAB.

We are very grateful for the help we get from the customers of The Co-op and Morrisons, also other businesses in Amble who support us and therefore our Community, in various ways.
