On the morning of 31st October 2016 Khawaja Zahid Bashir was fatally injured in an accident whilst at work. He was 30 years old. Zahid had been living and working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the past two and a half years. He was originally from a small village called Nakar in Azad Kashmir Pakistan.

The devastation of losing ones child is a tremendous suffering we can only hope never to experience yet for this family the loss has had deeper consequences. Zahid was the main breadwinner for his family and had migrated to Saudia Arabia to earn money to ease his family's financial burdens. His family were entirely financially dependant on him and aside from weekly phone calls they last seen Zahid over two years ago. Zahid's father has been bed ridden since 2014 and Zahid has two disabled brothers, all of whom are being cared for by Zahid's mother.

This page has been created to raise funds for the completion of the project that Zahid had started back in his family home. Zahid was helping to build a family bathroom with disabled access within the compound of his home. The present situation means that the family have to walk down a rocky path to an outside shack which is being used as the family bathroom. As you can imagine this is extremely difficult and impractical for members of Zahid's family.
In his honour I request for you all to dig deep and contribute whatever you feel you can in order to see Zahid's project successfully completed and the family's burdens lightened from your generosity.
