Starting in July I will be joining Projects Abroad to spend two weeks volunteering in Ecuador on a Care and Community short-term project.

Situated 1000km from the Ecuadorian coast, the Galapagos Islands are well-known for its spectacular scenery and interesting wildlife. You have the opportunity to volunteer with Projects Abroad on our Care & Community Short-term Special project and spend two weeks living on the beautiful island of San Cristobal.

Education and learning English is vital for the children on the island and you will provide creative educational activities for them at one of the local kindergartens. You will assist the teachers and provide extra attention to individual children. The project also has a community aspect, where you will work alongside other volunteers on physical improvements, such as painting one of the classrooms or helping with a beach clean-up initiative.

I have covered the costs of my flights to and from Ecuador however I need to fundraise for my community programme work. Even a small amount will get me one step closer to my goal. Thank you in advance for any support you can give.
